Update On COVID-19 As Of 8 November: Positive Cases 3,880, Cured Cases 3,881
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has released data on developments in handling COVID-19. Based on examination of 35,588 specimens, 3,880 new positive cases were found.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 437,716 people," quoted from data from the Ministry of Health, Sunday, November 8.
Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases increased by 3,881, so the total was 368,298 people who recovered from COVID-19. Meanwhile, the number of cases died increased by 74 to become 14,614 people.
On the other hand, provincial data with the most number of positive cases were in DKI Jakarta. Based on data, as many as 826 people in the capital have tested positive for COVID-19. So that the total residents who have been infected have become 112,027 people.
Then, other provinces with a high number of positive cases were still in Central Java with 640 cases. Meanwhile, Central Java with 479 cases.
Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases is also occupied by DKI Jakarta with 979 cases. Then, West Java with 625 cases and East Java with 261 cases.
So far, 1 province has reported no additional cases and 4 provinces have added cases below 10. Among them, West Sulawesi, Gorontalo, North Kalimantan, and North Maluku.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 4,790,024. In detail, 4,703,077 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 86,947 specimens using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14.2 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 57,043 people. Currently, 503 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
