Update On COVID-19 As Of November 7: New Cases Of 4,262, DKI Jakarta With The Most 1,118 People

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. The total cumulative cases totaled 433,836 since the first case was announced on March 2. Meanwhile, new positive cases per day reached 4,262 people.

The province with the most new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 1,118 new cases and a total of 111,201 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.

Furthermore, Central Java has 489 new cases with a total of 37,080 cases. West Java with 476 new cases with a total of 39,614 cases. East Java 269 new cases with a total of 54,349 cases. Then, West Sumatra has 167 new cases and a total of 15,823 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 989 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 462 cases recovered, Riau with an increase of 357 cases recovered, and Central Java with an increase of 301 cases recovered.

It was also reported that four provinces reported the addition of new cases under 10 today. The provinces are, North Maluku, Maluku, Papua and Gorontalo.

"The highest number of deaths was in Central Java Province with 28 people. Then East Java with 14 people and DKI Jakarta with 11 people," he was quoted as saying from data from the Ministry of Health, Saturday, November 7.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 4,754,436. In detail, as many as 4,667,639 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 86,797 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).

"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14.2 percent," he wrote.

Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 56,461 people. Currently, 503 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
