Police Officer Intimidating Journalists At Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's House Disciplinary Sanctions
JAKARTA - The police officer who intimidated two journalists covering the shooting of Brigadier J at the shelter for the Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, has been arrested. In fact, the police officer will be given disciplinary sanctions.
"Members who intimidated fellow journalists who were carrying out journalistic duties have been found and will be dealt with firmly by Karo Provos," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Friday, July 15.
The action against the police officers was carried out because they were deemed to have violated the rules. Moreover, the journalist profession is protected by law so it cannot be intervened.
In addition, the Karo Provos of the National Police's Propam Division, Brigadier General Benny Ali, said that his party would give strict sanctions to the individual members.

"Furthermore, related to the incident, we will take disciplinary action against the member," said Benny.
