Update On COVID-19 As Of 6 November: 3,778 New Cases, 3,563 Cured Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 38,091 specimens were examined with the results of 3,778 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 429,574 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Friday, November 6.
Today's cases increased by 3,563, so that a total of 360,705 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 94 people and a total of 14,442 people.
The province with the most new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 672 new cases and a total of 110,083 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by Central Java, which has 613 new cases with a total of 36,591 cases. West Java has 587 new cases and a total of 39,138 cases. East Java has 289 new cases and a total of 54,080 cases. Then, West Sumatra has 235 new cases and a total of 15,656 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,024 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 451 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 293 recovered cases, and West Sumatra with an additional 290 recovered cases.
Then, there is 1 province that reported having no new cases today. The province is Papua.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 4,716,187. In detail, a total of 4,629,842 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 86,345 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14.2 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 56,663 people. Currently, 502 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
