TANGERANG - The Head of the Tangerang City Education Office (Disdik) Jamaluddin gave a stern warning to the principal of SDN Uwung Jaya, Tangerang City regarding the holding of an open clothes changing competition as the School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS), Monday, July 11.
Even Jamaluddin did not hesitate to rotate and demote if he repeated similar activities.
"Now it has been reprimanded (the principal), meaning that it cannot be done. After that, if you keep repeating it, it means that later you will just need to analyze it again. If the reprimand doesn't work, rotation can also be demotion," said Jamaluddin when contacted by VOI, Thursday , July 14th.
When asked about the protesting parents, Jamaluddin explained that they did not actually go to the school. However, there were some parents who protested through social media.
"He's not protesting anywhere, he's just posting on social media, so listen to his information. Just because of social media, there was one person. So there were all kinds of protests," he concluded.
Previously, the Head of the Education Office Jamalludin gave a warning letter number 421.2/3095-SD, because the MPLS activities for new students were contrary to Permendikbud Number 18 of 2016 concerning Introduction to the School Environment for New Students.
"Where in one of the points, the introduction of the school environment must contain activities that are useful, educational, creative and fun. For violating it, we give a strong warning to the principal," said Jamal.
Kadisdik added that his party hopes that all elementary and junior high schools, both public and private, can carry out MPLS activities with positive and beneficial activities for all new students.
"The intention is good to teach independence to new students, but the method is not right," said the Head of the Department of Education.
In addition to the Head of SDN Uwung Jaya, the Education Office also issued a warning letter to the Cibodas Regional Coordinator and its supervisors for being negligent in carrying out their duties.
"MPLS must be monitored and must be stopped if a violation occurs," concluded Jamal.
