JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman asked 292 teenage soldiers (praja) who graduated from the Military Academy to become combat soldiers.
"I emphasize to them, you have to be fighters, you have to be like champions, and you have to be brave because the challenges ahead are not getting easier, but more difficult and full of dynamics," said General Dudung after giving a briefing to 292 military officers who had just graduated from the Military Academy. inaugurated by President Joko Widodo, at Headquarters, Central Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, July 14.
Dudung hopes that the youth officers can carry out their duties according to their main duties.
"Ahead there will be an open field that they must navigate because in the future the journeys of the dynamics of life are so complex. Therefore, do not be afraid in facing risks, do not be afraid of any situation because as young knights, soldiers must be strong. in the face of trials," said Dudung.
In his briefing, the former Pangkostrad asked the youth officers to think and act as an officer. "As mandated by the president, be young knights who are brave and tough in the face of changing times that are always changing," said Dudung.
According to him, after becoming an officer, his hopes and dreams were wide open.
"Surely it is not easy for you to achieve that goal, like seeing high-ranking officers who are present in front of you all, of course through a process and not as easy as turning your palm," he said.
Dudung continued, "Life is not as beautiful as what we dream. However, it is also not as bitter as what we fear. What we dream of you guys wanting to become generals is also not necessarily come true. However, what you worry about has not actually happened. that, be grateful and do it if you have a good heart, good mind, then surely the return will also be good.".
On that occasion, Dudung reminded young officers not to make mistakes that could damage the image of the TNI, especially the TNI AD.
"It is not uncommon for young officers, second lieutenants, first lieutenants to slip not because of a large stone stumbling block, but because of small pebbles. There are many problems, especially property, throne and even women," he said.
As a young officer in the battalion, said Dudung, it was possible, both inside and outside, that someone would try to disturb them.
"It's possible that you feel the most capable of yourself, feel the most everything. Because even with trivial things, you will be trapped," said Dudung.
However, the former Pangdam Jaya reminded soldiers not to be afraid to face any risks.
"Don't be afraid, you take risks. However, if our conscience is strong, whatever we face we must be brave, including taking risks. If the sky is cloudy, it doesn't mean there are no clouds, no sun. have no hope. The clouds will shift and the sun will shine," said Dudung Abdurachman.
