Arsenal Freeze Molde 4-1 To Secure Top Position

JAKARTA - Two own goals helped Arsenal overcome Molde and secure top position in Group B of the Europa League after winning 4-1 at Emirates Stadium, London, England, Thursday local time (Friday WIB).

According to Antara, the team made by Mikel Arteta fell behind first due to Martine Ellingsen's curling shot in the 22nd minute that tricked goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

Arsenal were only able to equalize late in the first half with a counter-attack that ended with Edward Nketiah's lure which Kristoffer Haugen tried to cut, but the Molde defender scored an own goal.

Having started the second half well, Molde conceded an own goal again when Sherrif Sinyan was in a disadvantaged position to deflect Willock's bait ball into his own net in the 62nd minute.

Just five minutes into the place of Willian, Bukayo Saka made an instant contribution in the 69th minute by releasing a lure which was perfectly completed by Nicolas Pepe to put Arsenal into a 3-1 lead.

Then two minutes before Willock's dispersal completed Arsenal's victory to 4-1 using Pepe's careful breakthrough bait.

The victory made Arsenal firmly at the top of Group B with a full nine-point collection, ahead of Molde (6), according to the official UEFA website notes.

Meanwhile, in another match that was played earlier, Rapid Wien won a 4-3 victory over Dundalk in a rain of eight goals that colored the match at the Allianz Stadium, Vienna, Austria.

Five of the seven goals came in the last 10 minutes of a game that ended with Rapid's first three points in Europe this season.

The two teams did not move from their position, Rapid in third and Dundalk as the caretaker of Group B.

The fourth round game will only be played on 26 November after the international break with Arsenal traveling to Molde and Dundalk changing to host Rapid.
