Report On Suharso Monoarfa Not Followed Up, PPP Cadre Nizar Dahlan Files Pretrial Against KPK

JAKARTA - United Development Party (PPP) cadre Nizar Dahlan filed a pretrial application at the South Jakarta District Court against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

The application was made because his report regarding the alleged receipt of gratuities by the General Chairperson of PPP, Suharso Monoarfa, was not followed up by the KPK.

Quoted from the old sipp.pn-jakartaselatan.go.id monitored on Wednesday, July 13, the pretrial was registered last Tuesday with case number 60/Pid.Pra/2022/PN.JKT.SEL.

Nizar is the applicant, while the respondent is the KPK. Previously, Nizar had also confirmed the pretrial submission.

"I did a pretrial to the KPK because what I said 2 years ago was related to the alleged gratification case of the Minister of Bappenas or PPP General Chair Suharso Monoarfa there has been no follow-up," Nizar said in his statement on Tuesday, July 12, as reported by Antara.

Nizar hopes that this gratification case can be quickly investigated and not silenced. The KPK on November 16, 2020 had invited Nizar for his report against Suharso.

"It's true, according to the information we received, the Directorate of Public Complaints scheduled the person concerned to attend to explain the report," said Acting (Plt.) KPK Spokesperson Ali Fikri at the time.

The KPK, he said, ensured that it would follow up on every public report by first verifying and reviewing the report.

"This is to explore further whether it is included in the realm of corruption and is under the authority of the KPK," said Ali.

The alleged gratification was in the form of charter assistance for private jets during visits to Medan, Aceh, Jambi and Surabaya and other allegations of corruption.

Meanwhile, the Head of Advocacy and Legal Affairs for the PPP Youth Caucus Hammam Asy'ari on November 9, 2020 stated that the report on the alleged gratification of Monoarfa was inconsequential.

According to him, Nizar, who acted as the reporter, did not understand the gratuities that could be reported to the KPK as stipulated in Article 12B of Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes.

The plane that was boarded by the PPP DPP management was not related to the position as Minister of Bappenas or a member of the DPR RI even though Arsul Sani was part of it.

In addition, he continued, the PPP DPP management boarded the plane in its capacity as party administrators, not state administrators, which could be seen from the activities they carried out at the destination.
