Pilgrims Who Return To Their Homeland Are Required To Be Disciplined In The Health Program

JAKARTA - Pilgrims who immediately return to their homeland are reminded to maintain health protocols.

"Remember that masks not only protect us from COVID-19, but also from the potential for transmission of other diseases," said Head of the Haji Budi Sylvana Health Center in Mecca, Wednesday, July 13, quoted from Antara.

Especially for the first batch of pilgrims who will soon return to Indonesia, they are asked to remain disciplined about health protocols, especially since there is an increase in cases in the country.

The first batch of pilgrims will start leaving for the country on July 15 and 16, 2022 via King Abdulaziz Airport, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Pilgrims who will go to Medina are also advised to remain disciplined in their health procedures, besides that, don't forget to drink water, don't wait to be thirsty and always use PPE, especially when doing activities outside the lodge which aims to prevent pilgrims from being tired and dehydrated.

"Remember that fatigue and dehydration can trigger the emergence of other diseases," added Budi.

He explained, after the peak of the pilgrimage in Arafah, Muzdhalifah and Mina (Armuzna) there was a shift in the trend of pilgrims' illness.

As of Tuesday (12/7) there were 14,962 hajj pilgrims experiencing coughs and colds, shifting hypertension to the second position with 12,720 cases.

While the third position is occupied by respiratory diseases as many as 6,785 cases and muscle pain in the fourth position with 5,272 cases.
