Administrative Court Orders Anies To Lower DKI UMP To IDR 4.5 Million, Denny Siregar's Satire Nyelekit: Taking The Hearts Of DKI Workers Eh Failed, So Policy Based On Logic Not Image
JAKARTA - The Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) has ordered DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to lower the 2022 DKI Jakarta Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) to Rp4,573,845, from the previous Rp4,641,854.
The decision came into effect after the Administrative Court granted the Jakarta Employers' Association (Apindo) lawsuit against DKI Governor Anies Baswedan in its entirety regarding the cancellation of the 2022 DKI UMP.
According to social media activist Denny Siregar, Apindo Jakarta brought the issue of the DKI UMP to the legal realm, not without reason. Based on the records of the Jakarta Administrative Court, the DKI Jakarta UMP of Rp. 4.6 million does not meet the principle of justice and is far from adequate compared to inflation in DKI Jakarta.
Denny said Anies had failed to win the hearts of workers in Jakarta by raising the UMP not in accordance with Government Regulation Number 36 of 2021 concerning Wages.
"My intention was to steal the hearts of DKI workers, but it failed," said Denny on his Twitter account, @Dennysiregar7, quoted Wednesday, July 13.
Denny then advised Anies not to issue a policy just because he wanted to increase his electability without looking at the impact of the rules after they were enacted.
The decision of the Jakarta Administrative Court which lowers the DKI 2022 UMP to Rp. 4.5 million is proof that Anies does not pay attention to the consequences of implementing the rules he made.
"That's why @aniesbaswedan, the policy is logical first, don't just play with the image. It's a shame," said Denny.
Meanwhile, the DKI Jakarta UMP for 2022 was reduced to Rp. 4.5, when the Jakarta Administrative Court knocked on Tuesday, July 12. In response to this, the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) firmly stated its rejection.
KSPI President Said Iqbal admitted that the labor unions are ready to take massive action if DKI Governor Anies Baswedan does not appeal the PTUN's decision to lower the 2022 DKI UMP.
"KSPI asks Governor Anies to challenge the PTUN decision. If Governor Anies does not appeal, the workers will take massive action," said Said, Wednesday, July 13.
