Brave Browser Can Access Solana-Based Web3 (SOL)
JAKARTA – Brave is an internet browser that supports cryptocurrencies. The crypto browser is now integrated with Solana-based decentralized applications (DApps), as announced on Tuesday.
Brave's integration into DApps and DeFi and Web3 has opened new avenues for the crypto community and the wider community to access the latest generation of internet. In addition, Brave will also be connected to the NFT Magic Eden marketpalce, as well as the blockchain-based music application Audius as one of the most popular DApps in the Solana ecosystem.
However, currently only the desktop version of the browser supports dApps integration. According to the announcement, Brave will enable support for the mobile version in the near future.
As reported by U.Today, Brave initially announced its partnership with Solana in November 2021. Brave made “Ethereum killer” the default blockchain. In January, Brave surpassed 50 million active users.
For additional information, Brave Browser is an internet browser founded by the former CEO of Mozilla, Brendan Eich. The advantage of the Brave browser is that it rewards users as a result of watching ads. The browser makes it possible to monetize its advertising revenue in 2019.
In his statement, Eich mentioned that Brave's user base benefits from significantly lower costs due to Solana's integration. Bank of America says that Solana is fully capable of eating away at Ethereum market share and becoming an investment giant like Visa.
Brave Browser has its own crypto token, the Basic Attention Token (BAT), which currently ranks in the top 67 by market capitalization, behind NEO and Pax Gold (PAX).
