Kejari Karawang Examines 25 Officials Related To The Corruption Case Of DPRD Aspiration Funds
KARAWANG - The District Attorney's Office in Karawang, West Java, has questioned about 25 officials in the DPRD and the local government regarding the disclosure of a case of alleged corruption that costs 5 percent of aspiration funds or the main ideas of members of the Karawang DPRD.
“The investigation into the alleged case is proceeding according to our progress. We have examined about 25 people," said Head of the Karawang District Attorney's Office, Martha Parulina Berliana, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 12.
Of the dozens of executive and legislative officials examined, including the chairman of the Karawang DPRD, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) Karawang and all members of the PKB faction of the Karawang DPRD.
Kajari said the investigation was running a marathon on a number of board members and executive officials to look for evidence of whether or not there was a criminal element in the aspiration fund.
"Inspection and summons are still continuing according to the needs of investigators," he said.
Asked about the conclusion of the examination that had been carried out for almost a month, Kajari admitted that he had not been able to convey this.
"The investigation is still ongoing so we can't explain the results yet," he said.
