The Testimony Of The Security Guard At The Office Complex Of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo During The Shootout
JAKARTA - On Friday, July 8 at around 17.00 WIB, Brigadier J, a member of the police from Jambi, was shot and killed at the official residence of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.
During the incident, according to the testimony of Marjuki, one of the security guards at the Duren Tiga Police Complex, on Friday, July 8, yesterday, he heard a sound similar to the explosion of firecrackers. However, because the atmosphere on last Friday was approaching takbir night, Marjuki ignored the voice.
"I heard it sounded like firecrackers, I thought I really wanted the takbiran. Some of the takbirs were, some were on the 10th, some were on that date," he told VOI, Tuesday, July 12.
Marjuki admitted that he had heard a sound like that of a firecracker. However, he did not specify the origin of the sound of the eruption.
"There are several, but we don't care about the number because we also (think) 'oh there are firecrackers, think takbiran'," he said.
Marjuki explained that the tradition at the National Police complex every takbir and New Year's Eve often sounded firecrackers. For that, he did not put any suspicion on that day.
"So we don't know, we know there are a lot of police. I think the leadership is okay, I think you have an event or something, because officials here are used to it," he said.
According to Marjuki, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo rarely visits the official residence. Only occasionally, Inspector General Ferdy visited his official residence.
"Mr (Inspector General Ferdy Sambo) rarely, mothers rarely, only sometimes come here. There are those who guard the house, occasionally (Inspector General Ferdy Sambo) visit (see) his official house. The name is a house afraid of damage," he explained.
Marjuki only learned of the shooting incident after the case went viral on social media and mass media.
