Viral Brimob Personnel Throws Cats Into Trenches, Police: Religion And Law Are Prohibited
JAKARTA - Cats are animals that are often used as pets. Some people even take special care of this beast. However, this does not apply to unscrupulous members of the police.
Where these elements of the Brimob Police have the heart to throw the cat into the trench. This became known after videos and photos of the cat-throwing action went viral on social media.
Knowing that the action was deemed not praiseworthy, the National Police immediately conducted an investigation into the action. Because, it is inappropriate for members of the police to do this.
"Such matters are prohibited by religion and the law is prohibited. Of course, there will be strict action," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, to the media crew, Jakarta, Thursday, November 5.
Even Awi said that the actions of the members of the National Police were considered to have provoked the National Police Chief Regulation (Perkap) number 14 of 2011 concerning the Polri professional code of ethics and personality ethics as stated in article 11 letter c.
"Every member of the National Police must obey and respect the norms of decency, religious norms, local wisdom values and legal norms," said Awi.
According to Awi, his party would not hesitate to give witnesses to Brimob officers if the videos and photos circulating were true.
"If it is true that the person in the video is a Brimob member, of course they will be dealt with in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations," said Awi.
Previously, the 13-second video went viral on Instagram social media. The video shows members of Brimob slamming kittens into a ditch.
The man wearing the Brimob uniform looked relaxed after throwing the kitten. The video also drew many angry comments from netizens. The video was originally shared by the Instagram account @christian_joshuapale.
