CIANJUR - Cianjur Police, West Java Regional Police forbade residents in all areas to hold mobile takbirs using vehicles ahead of the evening of Eid al-Adha 2022.The prohibition letter has been disseminated and socialized to each sub-district and put up warning banners at a number of points.Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Doni Hermawan said, like the previous holiday, his party appealed to residents to hold takbiran at mosques around their respective places of residence as an effort to avoid unwanted things, including causing traffic jams."We have distributed the prohibition letter to all sub-districts in Cianjur, apart from the pandemic, we hope that the safety and comfort of residents, especially road users, will not be disturbed by convoys of vehicles traveling around holding takbiran," he said in Cianjur, Antara, Friday, July 8.In fact, his party prepared a joint team and the police to direct residents who forced themselves to hold a convoy of vehicles to return to their respective homes.His party also appealed to community leaders and scholars to socialize the prohibition of vehicle convoys during Eid al-Adha night, so that residents can comply and not force themselves and maintain security and comfort at night."We will also add personnel to carry out patrols and blocking at night by turning around vehicles that are forcing themselves to take takbirs around. Officers will also be alerted at points prone to traffic jams and areas prone to public ills," he said.Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman asked residents not to hold a mobile takbir on the eve of the Kurban Day, simply by holding a takbir at the mosque around their respective residences, as an effort to prevent unwanted things from happening."I ask that it is enough to hold takbir at the mosque where they live, because takbir traveling around with convoys of vehicles can risk things that are not desirable," he also said.
