Ganjar Supporting Kanjeng Gusti Bhre Who Wants To Develop The Mangkunegaran Temple Palace

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo has a special guest at the Puri Gedeh Service House, Sri Tuanci Mangkunegara X, KGPAA Bhre biahutomo Wira Sudjiwo.

The two of them discussed the development plan of Mangkunegaran Temple as one of the Javanese cultural centers.

"We, as a center of Javanese culture, have a big mandate to explore culture, preserve culture, and also develop it," said Kanjeng Gusti Bhre after meeting Ganjar as quoted from the Central Java Provincial Government, Friday, July 8.

Bhre explained that the development of Mangkunegaran Temple must be relevant to the developments of today's era. However, in its development it will always be based on the values and roots of Mangkunegaran, which have existed so far. Both in terms of culture, tourism, and knowledge.

But the most important thing is not to forget the foundation or its own roots, namely the gift, customs, and traditions. The values in Mangkunegaran Temple are our foundation forever and forever, also for our development," he explained.

Bhre expressed support from Ganjar Pranowo and the Central Java Provincial Government (Central Java Provincial Government) in efforts to develop Mangkunegaran Temple, as a center for Javanese culture. He called Ganjar's support extraordinary for Mangkunegaran Temple. In the future, it is hoped that Pura Mangkunegaran and the Central Java Provincial Government can synergize in various cultural activities.

It is also an honor for us to be able to meet the Governor. We are very happy and grateful for the extraordinary support from him. His trust and support to us so that we can continue to develop, and of course the hope that in the future Pura Mangkunegaran can synergize with the provincial government, especially in cultural activities," he said.

On that occasion, Bhre also conveyed several of the closest activities organized by Pura Mangkunegaran. Among them, Kirana Pusaka Night 1 Suro which had been stopped during the Covid-19 pandemic and was only carried out on a limited basis. Then there is a cultural mission carried out by Mangkunegaran dancers, for the three countries' road show.

Our closest event is an traditional heirloom kira ceremony, night 1 Suro, later on 29 July. In the next few months we will also have an international cultural mission road show from our dancers to appear in three countries. So this month we will go to Malaysia, appear there. Next month we will appear in Australia, and the next month in Thailand. Please pray that it can run well and smoothly," said Bhre.

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said the wish of KGPPA Mangkunegaran X Bhre biahutomo, to revitalize the palace or Mangkunegaran Temple in accordance with what he had in mind. In addition to preserving and developing culture, revitalizing Mangkunegaran Temple can also open public spaces for learning Javanese culture, especially palace culture.

This is a delayed time and I am happy because Gusti Bhre wants to revitalize the palace with its art, with its culture. He will manage the existing palace conditions today, and then it can be developed," he said.

Regarding the development of palaces, Ganjar said, there has been a dance art by Gusti Bhre that has been displayed. Likewise with the idea of developing batik, so that it has more patterns. In terms of tourism, Ganjar gave the idea of including thedinner with The King activities with the previous King's cooking menu.

I also helped, supported creative ideas in terms of tourism, culture, and art. In the context of tourism, it is the use of palaces. It was the idea of dine-in with the king. It turned out that it had agreed that even yesterday it had been done even though it was not routine. So if this could be a good tour package," he said.

To support all of that, Ganjar encourages there to be arrangements in the palace zone for tourists. For example, which zones are not allowed to be visited or entered by tourists and which zones are allowed. In fact, he encourages tourists to feel how to stay in the palace.

If then the palace can be revitalized with the existing potentials, he added, then transformed into the current era with cooperation in tourism, arts, and culture.

Wow, this is extraordinary. So there are many and hopefully later there can be events made, and then there can be tour packages that even reach the level of education and open public spaces in the palace for community participation. In my terms, between the palace and the village, it becomes very close and then this will become a center of culture, an exclusive art center," said the governor.
