KPU Can Be Asked Via WhatsApp On Registration Of Political Parties In Sipol Pemilu 2024

JAKARTA - The General Elections Commission (KPU) appealed to political parties (political parties) not to upload data on the Political Party Information System (Sipol) but to the deadline for registration of political parties.

"Yes, all political parties participating in the 2024 General Election are advised to register the registration process through the data input process at Sipol that has been carried out long before August 14, 2022, no later than 24.00," said KPU member Betty Epsilon Idroos in Jakarta, Friday, July 8.

The deadline for registration of political parties participating in the 2024 General Election to Sipol is August 14, 2022 at 24.00 WIB.

Betty said the KPU is ready to provide services to prospective election participants who need assistance related to the data uploading process and experience problems accessing the Sipol.

The KPU is also very open to serving prospective election participants and asks for support from prospective participants regarding the procedures that must be passed according to Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections.

"We still have plenty of time to input data and we have also opened ourselves up to open a help desk. Ladies and gentlemen, you can come directly or via WA (WhatsApp) group or via the email we have prepared," he said.

The KPU has also launched Sipol which is used for the 2024 General Election. Sipol is a tool for the registration and verification process for political parties.

The data that must be uploaded to the Sipol application is the profile of political parties, membership of political parties, management, and the permanent office of political parties.

Previously, KPU member Idham Holik explained that political parties participating in the election had to submit complete requirements documents during the registration period.

"It must have been submitted during the registration period in the period 1-14 August 2022," he said.

Registration is carried out centrally at the national level, namely by the leadership or DPP of political parties; while for local political parties, registration is carried out at the Aceh KIP Office.
