Witnesses Examined, Police Prosecutors Of Sexual Harassment In Angkot
JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Metro Police examined a number of witnesses and investigated the whereabouts of the reported person related to the alleged case of sexual harassment in the M44 angkot from the Tebet area, South Jakarta.
"We are examining several witnesses and investigating the whereabouts of the reported party," said Head of the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim), AKBP Ridwan Soplanit when contacted in Jakarta, Friday, July 8.
Ridwan said his party was pursuing the reported person suspected of sexually harassing a woman with the initials AF on Monday morning, July 4.
Previously, this case went viral on social media. It was narrated that the 23-year-old victim would go to the office from Tebet to Kuningan to ride the M44 angkot.
The woman admitted that she was sitting next to the reported man and at that time the angkot was full of passengers.
AF saw the perpetrator put his right hand into his jacket and touched his female private area. This woman immediately realized by parrying with the perpetrator's hand and recording the alleged perpetrator while crying.
AF, who felt harassed, regretted the attitude of other passengers who did not help or ask him.
Meanwhile, AF has reported the alleged sexual harassment incident that happened to him to the South Jakarta Metro Police with the number LP/1586/VII/2022/RUS.
