Valentino Rossi Analogizes Racing At The Silverstone Circuit For Sexual Relations

JAKARTA - Silverstone's iconic circuit in England left an impression on MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi. He analogized racing on the circuit as if having sex.

As is known, Rossi really likes the set-up circuit with a length of 5.9 kilometers. Throughout his career, the Italian racer always praised the track located on the Towcester.

"Silverstone is the right MotoGP track, and when you go fast there, you enjoy it. However, it's more than fun. It's like having sex!" Rossi said as quoted by the Daily Star.

Silverstone was re-entered the MotoGP calendar in 2010, but at that time Rossi was forced to miss the race due to injury. He then raced there in 2011 and 2012 while in Ducati, but had difficulty adapting.

Rossi could get along well with Silverstone after moving to Yamaha. He then recorded victory on the track in 2015, ahead of fellow Italian stars Danilo Petrucci and Andrea Dovizioso in second and third place.

"Silverstone is a very difficult race track. However, when I rejoin Yamaha, I try to learn the whole track, because it is very interesting and very technical," he said.

The 43-year-old ended his outstanding career last year. He won a total of seven impressive MotoGP world championships.

"I had a very long career and luckily I won a lot of races, but I had some unforgettable moments and wins," he said.

"A difficult decision but you need to understand. I think in the end in the sport, the result makes the difference. So in the end I think it's the right way," he added.
