Kyushu Station Operates Steam Locomotive Train From Anime Kimetsu No Yaiba: Mugen Train
JAKARTA - The excitement of Demon Slayer or Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train doesn't stop at the film. The film's popularity even led Kyushu Railway Co. to operate a steam locomotive train that inspired the comic and animated film Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Launching the Kyodo News page, the operation of the steam locomotive train is presented to provide fans service for fans who will watch the film Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train in theaters. The train will serve a limited time journey from Kumamoto Station to JR Hakata Station in Fukuoka Prefecture.
This limited edition train uses the same model as the steam locomotive of the Japanese Taisho era around 1912-1926 and is the setting for the Demon Slayer film story. General fans or passengers can buy special edition train travel tickets which will only operate until 23 November.
The story of the film and anime series Kimetsu no Yaiba is an adaptation of the manga of the same name, by Koyoharu Gotouge. Kimetsu no Yaiba manga ends after 205 chapters, on December 4, 2020.
Kimetsu no Yaiba tells the story of Tanjiro Kamado's adventures with his younger brother, Nezuko Kamado, who has turned into a demon. Especially in the anime film Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train will take a story adaptation of the Mugen Train Arc in chapters 54 to 69 in the comic.
Tanjiro Kamado and his friends were given the task of investigating cases of missing people due to train trips (Mugen Ressha). There, they were joined by Kyojuro Rengoku, one of the hasiras of the Kisatsutai (Demon Slayer Corps).
Since its premiere in theaters, the anime Kimetsu no Yaiba has broken box-office records in Japan as the first film to gross more than 10 billion yen (95 million US dollars) within 10 days of opening. Meanwhile, the second season of the anime itself is rumored to be coming in 2021 or 2022.

Odex, the anime distributor for the Southeast Asia region, confirmed that it will bring the film Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train to the country's cinemas. The plan for the fan screening of this film will be on December 19, 2020. Meanwhile, the regular screening will only be held in January 2021.
So far, the cinema network in the country that has been confirmed to screen the film Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-Hen is the new CGV cinema. However, it is possible that the film will also be screened in Cinepolis, Platinum, New Star, Flix, and Lotte in the near future.
