The Search For Hanyut Persons With Disabilities In The Kalimalang River Will Continue Tomorrow
JAKARTA - East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) officers are constrained by no water vortex while looking for Hafid Maulana (15), the victim drowned in the West Tarum channel of Kalimalang.
"The problem is that there is no vortex of water here, at times it usually exists," said East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Officer Subiyanto in Jakarta, Thursday, July 7.
Given that there is no water vortex, officers must comb the Kalimalang flow using rubber boats.
Subiyanto said, with the help of the DKI Jakarta BPBD to Basarnas, they had been searching since 13.30 WIB at the location where the victim was suspected of drowning, but as of 18.00 WIB there were no signs of being found.
Officers finally temporarily suspended the search for Hafid and the plan will continue tomorrow.
"We will temporarily stop before Maghrib, we also don't know the location," said Subiyanto.
Subiyanto said the incident of the sinking of Hafid Maulana began when the boy was accompanying his father who was washing a motorbike on the edge of Kalimalang.
"The father washed his motorbike on the edge of the river. His 15-year-old son was sitting in the back. The possibility of slipping so he fell," said Subiyanto.
When Hafid fell, his father held the victim's hand. But in the end it fell so that the victim fell into Kalimalang.
"He was helped by his father, he was held by his t-shirt. It turned out that he rebelled, finally this father was released. Because his hand was injured because he couldn't hold back," said Subiyanto.
