Puncak Ibadah Hajj 2022, Cendekiawan Islam Moderat Sheikh Muhammad Al-Issa Akan Katawan Dan Doaman Di Arafah
JAKARTA - Sheikh Muhammad Al-Issa, a member of the Senior Ulema Council and Secretary of the World Muslim League (MWL) is planned to deliver sermons and lead prayers at the Sumirah Mosque on Arafah 9 Dzulhijjah Day, which falls on Friday.
The highest authority has issued approval in this regard, Makkah emirate said in a statement on its official Twitter account, as quoted from the Saudi Gazette 7 July.
It is known, Arafah Day marks the culmination of the annual pilgrimage, which will begin on Thursday, July 7th. Standing in Arafah, one of the four most important hajj and ritual pillars of the annual pilgrimage, will begin after the Arafah sermon, with the implementation of the Duhur and Ashar prayers in a combination and short form.
Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa is widely recognized as a leading global voice about moderate Islam, committed to bringing global awareness to the true message of empathy, understanding, and religious cooperation among all people.
Not only that, the former Saudi Arabian justice minister is known for his call to the Muslim community in non-Islamic countries, to respect the constitution, the laws and culture of the country they live in.
In addition, he also asked them to understand, claims to their religious privacy are by law and by peaceful means, and must respect the final decision that decides their claim, whether the decision is from the legislative or judicial authority.
As previously reported, the Government of Saudi Arabia will also provide the translation of the Wukuf sermon in Arafah into 14 different languages, part of efforts to convey moderate messages and tolerance to the public as wide as possible.
Citing Arab News, Sheikh Dr. Abdurrahman As-Sudais, the president of the General Presidency for Dua Mosque Affairs, said the Kingdom's leadership offers unlimited support for the development of services for the Prophet's Mosque and the Grand Mosque.
As Arafat's direct translation enters its fifth year, the langsung has been expanded to cover 14 languages, he said. The direct translation of the Arafat Day sermon is a broad work for the world, and especially for visitors to holy places, allowing non-Arab speakers to listen in their native language, he explained.
This translation is beneficial for 1 million people in the first year, 11 million in the second year, 50 million in the third year, 100 million in the fourth year and will reach 200 million people worldwide by 2022, he added.
He said that the sermon was originally translated into two languages. It was upgraded to five and, then, 10 languages. Leadership then approved the translation in English, French, Malay, Urdu, Persian, Russian, Chinese, mediate, Turkish and Hausa, with Spain, India, mediate and aware were added to this year's list.
He added that Saudi Arabia's leadership oversees the progress of international live translation projects, to serve the believer, fair and wise around the world, adding that the project is taking a stand against violence, extremism, and terrorism.
