Buru Anak Kiai Jombang Tersangka Pencabulan, Komisi VIII DPR Ancam Bekukan Ponpes Shidddiqiyayah Jika Enggan Kooperif
JAKARTA - Member of Commission VIII DPR Luqman Hakim asked the police to move quickly to arrest the DPO of the sexual abuse case of Moch Subchi Al Tsani alias MSAT (42).
Member of the House of Representatives in charge of religion is furious with the legal process against MSAT, the son of the influential kiai in Jombang as well as the caretaker of the Shiddiqiyayyah Islamic Boarding School, KH Muhammad Mukhtar Mukthi, Luqman asked the head of the Shiddiqiyyah Islamic Boarding School, Ploso Jombang, to be cooperative and not hinder law enforcement efforts. As well as proactively handing over MSAT to the Jombang Police or East Java Police. "To MSAT, I suggest surrendering to the police," Luqman told reporters, Thursday, July 7. According to the chairman of the PP GP Ansor, MSAT has used the pesantren institution as a protection shield. This, he said, would only worsen the situation and harm the good name of the pesantren in general. Not only the Shiddiqiyyah Ploso Islamic Boarding School, Jombang.
The PKB politician also regretted the deployment of students, especially involving students who were still minors to confront the police who wanted to arrest MSAT. Luqman said that involving students to hinder law enforcement is a bad practice that can damage the mentality and religious beliefs of the students in the future. "Of course this is contrary to the educational goals of all Islamic boarding schools who want to preserve Islamic teachings and produce candidates for Islamic leaders in the community," said Luqman.
Luqman also asked the Ministry of Religion to conduct a serious evaluation, the educational process which took place at Ponpes Shiddiqiyyah Ploso Jombang. "If there is a deviant practice, I ask the Ministry of Religion not to hesitate to freeze this pesantren permit," said Luqman.
The PKB legislator for the Central Java electoral district also hopes that anyone will not generalize sexual crimes allegedly committed by MSAT against other Islamic boarding schools. "Criminalities may be carried out by individuals anywhere, whether they are part of, or not, from the community of certain educational institutions. So, our job is to help the law enforcement process carried out by law enforcement officers (APH) against every perpetrator of a crime, whoever he is," explained Luqman.
Luqman fully supports the police's efforts to arrest MSAT as soon as possible so that the legal process can be enforced immediately. If necessary, forced pick-up will be carried out. "So that cases of sexual crimes against female students allegedly carried out by MSAT can be completed fairly," he concluded.
