Charta Politica Survey: Ganjar Achieves Highest Electability In Lampung-North Sumatra

JAKARTA - The survey agency Charta Politika released the results of a survey related to the electability of presidential candidates in 2024 which showed the electability of Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo was ranked the highest in Lampung and North Sumatra.

“Ganjar received an electability rate of 32.3 percent in Lampung. Followed by Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto and Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan," said Executive Director of Charta Politica Yunarto in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 6.

Yunarto said in a simulation of 10 names, Ganjar Pranowo and Prabowo Subianto competed fiercely as the top first and second choices.

In North Sumatra, Yunarto continued, Ganjar received almost 24.6 percent of total support. The mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution as the regional head also got the highest electability with 29 percent gain.

"Ganjar Pranowo, Anies Baswedan, and Prabowo Subianto got the highest electability. In the question regarding the Regional Head, Bobby Nasution's electability is slightly above Edy Rahmayadi as the Regional Head of North Sumatra," he said.

Meanwhile, Yunarto said, Prabowo's electability was superior in South Sumatra with 41.9 percent, followed by Anies in second place, and Ganjar in third.

"In the given simulation, Prabowo Subianto's choice was far above the other names. Meanwhile, Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo followed in the next order," Yunarto said.

The survey was conducted between 2-7 June 2022. In the presidential candidate survey, respondents were asked the question 'If presidential elections were held now, who would you choose as President'.

The survey methodology used is a stratified random method or multistage random sampling at a 95 percent confidence level. The survey involved 800 respondents per province through face-to-face interviews with structured questionnaires.

From various perspectives, other survey institutions also place Prabowo, Ganjar, and Anies as the highest electability owners with different positions but still in the top three.
