Visum Results Of Victims Died During Chaos At The Office Of The Regent Of Paniai Papua Not Because Of Shots
JAYAPURA - The Director of Criminal Investigation at the Papua Regional Police, Kombes Faizal Rahmadani, stated that from the post-mortem results issued by the Madi Hospital, Paniai Regency, it was revealed that Donatus Nawipa's death was not the result of being shot.
The results of the post-mortem et repertum from the Paniai General Hospital showed that the victim's body on the right arm had two cm of torn wounds and three cm of abrasions.
Then on the right side of the abdomen, an open wound appeared, the edges were flat with a size of 4x2 cm and the wound entered the abdominal cavity towards the intestinal curtain.
Nawipa was found dead shortly after the security forces forcibly dispersed a group of residents who had carried out anarchist actions because they were disappointed with the implementation of the village meeting to elect the village head in Paniai Regency.
According to him, Nawipa's injury was caused by a sharp object so it is certain that it was not the result of being shot, like information spread in the community.
It is not yet known who attacked Nawipa, because the police are still investigating the case.
"The regional police chief has ordered to support his investigation," said Kombes Faizal as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 6.
The riots that occurred on Wednesday (5/7) at the Paniai Regent's office as a result of the preparation process for the village head election, in addition to causing one death, also injured two people, including a police officer on duty at the Paniai regent's official house.
