3 Cinnabar Miners In SSB Maluku That Were Buried By The Landslide Have Not Been Found
AMBON - Three cinnabar miners who were buried by a landslide in West Seram Regency, Maluku have not been found.
"Based on the report we received from the SBB Regency Satlak PB, three people have been found dead while the other three are still in the process of being searched," said Head of the Maluku Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Henri Far Far, as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 6.
Initially it was reported that there were nine people at the site, but three miners managed to survive the avalanche, while six others were buried by the landslide.
According to him, as a result of moderate to heavy rains that flushed the area, causing floods and landslides.
"There are two locations in SBB Regency that were affected by the disaster, namely in Hulung Village and Iha Village from Monday (4/7) to Tuesday (5/7), the connecting road was flooded and six people were buried by landslides," he said.
A number of residents affected by floods and landslides in Uhe Hamlet, Luhu Village in Huamual District, West Seram Regency, Maluku have also received assistance in the form of basic necessities and cooking utensils from the local government.
The distribution of the initial aid was carried out by the Head of Social Affairs of SBB Regency, Josep Sapasuru, who immediately inspected the location of the natural disaster.
