After Being Questioned By The Police, Refly Harun: I Did Not Trap Gus Nur

JAKARTA - Constitutional Law Expert, Refly Harun has finished undergoing examination as a witness in the alleged case of hate speech with the suspect Sugi Nur Rahardja alias Gus Nur.

Refly said that this examination was not only because he was with Gus Nur in the video. The examination was also due to questioning Gus Nur's views on Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).

"Yes (about his opinion). So other people can also ask. He said the person who asked my answer (Gus Nur) was like that. So I was not trapping or fishing," Refly told reporters, Tuesday, November 3.

Refly admitted that investigators were asking him 16 questions. To investigators, Refly also explained more about the making of the video without any particular purpose and purpose

"Yes, the point is I explained that in the collaboration we do not have an agenda setting right, so just be spontaneous," he said.

With the completion of the examination, the investigator has not rescheduled a further examination. However, if there is an examination, Refly confirms that he will attend.

"There are no more inquiries. But the point is that there are no further inquiries," he said.

Previously, Refly said that the creation of the video content started with an invitation from Gus Nur. Not his personal initiative.

"I was called on October 12 by Gus Nur to invite collaboration," said Refly.

Received the offer, Refly agreed. The reason is because there are enough followers of Gus Nur's YouTube channel and himself. Moreover, collaboration between YouTubers is considered a common thing.

"Why is that? Yes, I think just apple to apple because he has more than 500 thousand subscribers, I am also 600 thousand, so in the world of ordinary mating, collaboration and the interview took place," he explained.

Previously, Bareskrim Polri investigators detained Sugi Nur Rahardja alias Gus Nur for the alleged spread of hate speech. The detention was carried out after Gus Nur was named a suspect.

Gus Nur was named a suspect in a case of spreading hate speech shortly after being arrested at his residence in Pakis District, Malang, East Java, on October 24.

Gus Nur was reported by the Head of the Cirebon Branch of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Management Azis Hakim to the Police Criminal Investigation Unit. The report numbered LP / B / 0596 / X / 2020 / Bareskrim dated 21 October 2020.

The reporting was because Gus Nur was considered to be spreading information that caused hatred or enmity related to Nahdlatul Ulama through a statement he uploaded on the MUNJIAT Channel's Youtube account on October 16, 2020.

In reporting, Gus Nur allegedly violated Article 27 paragraph (3) and Article 28 paragraph (2) of Law Number (UU) 19/2016 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE).
