Lili Pintauli Flies To Bali When She Wants To Be Tried On Ethics, KPK: It's Been Scheduled Since The Beginning Of The Year
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that the assignment of KPK Deputy Chair Lili Pintauli Siregar to fill the second round of the 2022 Anti Corruption Working Group (ACWG) in Nusa Dua, Bali had been planned since the beginning of the year.
This was conveyed in response to the spotlight due to the postponement of the ethical trial of the alleged receipt of the Mandalika MotoGP ticket by the KPK Supervisory Board. The delay occurred because Lili is currently in Bali.
"This agenda has been scheduled since the beginning of the year, when Indonesia began holding the G20 Presidency in 2022, which of course also involves various stakeholders both regionally, nationally and internationally," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Wednesday, July 6.
Ali said three KPK leaders, namely KPK Chair Firli Bahuri and two of his deputies, Alexander Marwata and Lili Pintauli were serving as keynote speakers and resource persons at the international event. The three have been on duty since Monday, July 4 last.
The KPK, continued Ali, realized that the eradication of corruption could not be faced alone. Therefore, they are concentrating on the ACWG event which is attended by delegates from 20 G20 participating countries.
"KPK realizes the urgency of this meeting, given that corruption is one of the global problems that hinders a country's national economic growth," he said.
"As Chair of the ACWG in the G20 Presidency in 2022, it is an opportunity for the KPK to make an optimal contribution to eradicating corruption at the national and global levels," Ali continued.
As previously reported, because Lili was in Bali to participate in the ACWG event, the KPK Supervisory Board postponed the ethics session until Monday, July 11.
Lili was again reported to the KPK Council for allegedly receiving hotel accommodation facilities and tickets to watch the 2022 MotoGP race at the Mandalika International Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), from PT Pertamina (Persero).
In dealing with the alleged receipt, the KPK has collected materials and information from related parties, including the state-owned company. President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati has also been examined some time ago and provided additional information in writing.
Not only that, the KPK Council has also asked related parties to bring proof of booking accommodation at Amber Lombok Beach Resort and Mandalika MotoGP tickets at the Grandstand Premium Zone A-Red.
