Achmad Marzuki's Status Is Not An Active TNI Officer, Does Not Violate Procedures When Appointed As Acting Governor Of Aceh
ACEH - The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) confirms that the Acting Governor of Aceh, Achmad Marzuki is no longer an active TNI officer so that the determination in question does not violate procedures.
"The Acting Governor of Aceh, Mr. Maj. Gen. TNI (ret.) Achmad Marzuki, is not an active member of the TNI," said Head of the Penuspen Kemendagri Benny Irwan in a statement received in Banda Aceh, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, July 6.
Benny said that Pj. The Aceh governor has resigned and retired from the active service of TNI soldiers. His current status is retired and has changed his status as an ASN of the Ministry of Home Affairs with the position of middle high leadership, Expert Staff of the Minister of Home Affairs in the Field of Law and National Unity.
Currently, he said, Achmad Marzuki is 55 years old, the retirement age limit for the TNI is different for each position. The age limit for officers has the highest retirement age limit, which is 58 years, then the retirement age limit for non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel is younger, which is 53 years.
"The rules regarding the retirement age limit for members of the TNI are regulated in Law Number 34 of 2004 concerning the Indonesian National Army," he emphasized.
It was also emphasized that Achmad Marzuki had retired early so he could no longer be said to be an active officer, and he was a high-ranking TNI officer who graduated from the class of 1989.
Benny explained that the man who was born in Bandung on February 24, 1967 had previously served as an Expert Reviewer in the field of National Awareness of Lemhannas.
Achmad Marzuki received the rank of major general or two stars when he served as Pangdivif 3/Kostrad for the period 2018-2020, then Pangdam Iskandar Muda in 2020.
"This means that he has experience leading TNI AD soldiers in Aceh. He was then transferred to the Kasad Territorial Assistant from November 17, 2021 to March 25, 2022," he said.
After that, Achmad Marzuki served as an Expert Reviewer for the National Awareness Division of Lemhanas based on a transfer telegram signed by the TNI Commander Andika Perkasa on March 25, 2022.
"Until Tuesday (4/7), he was trusted to carry out the task as Expert Staff for Law and National Unity at the Ministry of Home Affairs," said Benny Irwan.
