Indonesia U-19 National Team Will Face Thailand, Shin Tae-yong: Ask For Full Support And Public Prayers

JAKARTA - The U-19 Indonesian national team will face Thailand in the third match of the AFF U-19 2022 Group A phase. This match will take place at the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, on Wednesday 6 July at 20.00 WIB.

The coach of the U-19 Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae-yong, asked for the full support and prayers of the Indonesian people. Understandably, the opponent faced is a strong team in ASEAN.

"We ask for the full support and prayers of the Indonesian people," said Shin Tae-yong in a written statement ahead of the match.

Referring to the statistics, Thailand is an unbeaten team in the 2022 AFF U-19 Cup. The previous two matches ended in victory.

After silencing the Philippines 1-0, the White Elephant Troops then won 3-0 against Myanmar. For Shin Tae-yong, it was the note that served as a warning to his foster children.

However, Shin Tae-yong still believes that the Garuda Muda squad still has a chance to beat Thailand when they meet in the 2022 AFF U-19 Cup tonight.

"Thailand are indeed a tough team. I watched their match against the Myanmar U-19 national team and it looked like they were very strong. However, our team continues to show progress," added Shin Tae-yong.

Ahead of the clash between the two teams, Thailand is still at the top of Group A with six points. While Indonesia is in second position with a collection of four points.
