The Number Of Enthusiasts Continues To Increase, The Government Will Continue The Pre-employment Card Program In 2021

JAKARTA - The government plans to continue the Pre-employment Card program in 2021. This departs from the growing number of enthusiasts since the program was launched on April 11, 2020.

The Head of the Job Creation Committee Executive Team, Rudy Salahuddin, said that the digital-based Pre-Work Card program is a new paradigm in developing superior human resources (HR). Because it is able to reach all corners of the Republic of Indonesia.

Rudy said, of the 10 registration waves that had been opened, there were 5.6 million recipients of Worker Cards. He said, this was a major achievement in the implementation of a government program.

Furthermore, Rudy said, following up on the polemic of the Pre-Work Card program training that was doubted by the public, PMO had made improvements and developed program governance by taking into account input from various parties. This aims to ensure the quality of training held online, as well as monitoring the implementation of training.

As is known, currently in the Pre-Work Card ecosystem there are 7 digital platforms and there are also 147 training institutions offering more than 1,500 trainings.

"In 2021, the Pre-Employment Card program will be continued and for that we hope to provide input and recommendations to continue to be able to improve and improve the quality of the pre-employment card program," he said in a virtual discussion, Wednesday, November 3.

On the same occasion, Executive Director of Pre-Employment Card Implementing Management Denni Puspa Purbasari said recipients of the Pre-Employment Card program only had one chance. This means that if this year you have received the benefits of the Pre-employment Card program, next year you will not be able to receive it again.

"Participants who have received assistance this year will not receive it again next year. We prioritize the principle of equity," he said.

Even so, Denni has not explained in detail the quota for beneficiaries of the assistance program for 2021. However, his party confirmed that the concept of the Pre-Work Card 2021 will still be the same as 2020.

Furthermore, Denni said, the Pre-employment Card program will attract job seekers or workers who have been laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so they can get added value through trainings.
