Investigate Case Of Broken Water Tank, Police Check Setiabudi LRT Project Implementer
JAKARTA - Setiabudi Police are examining six witnesses related to the case of a water reservoir burst at the Rasuna Said Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon, June 28.
"Yesterday, there were six witnesses. Including the project implementer, we also asked for information," said the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Setiabudi Police, AKP Suparmin, as reported by Antara, Monday, June 4.
The six witnesses consisted of victims, security guards, employees and project implementers. However, the police are still delaying asking for information from the victims because they have not yet recovered.
Suparmin said the condition of the five victims, three with minor injuries and two with broken bones. The two victims are believed to have suffered a broken leg, while the other had a broken arm.
Two victims are currently still undergoing treatment at the Metropolitan Medical Center Hospital, all of which will be covered by the LRT.
In addition, the police have not confirmed that the case of the broken water reservoir in the LRT project has been investigated because it has not found any elements of a criminal act.
The police also have to ascertain whether there was an element of negligence committed by the project implementer and the cause of the burst water reservoir which hampered the flow of traffic.
"Not yet, because so far the other specifications have not been broken, how come this can be broken," he said.
