Makassar Walkot Danny Pomanto Allocates IDR 10 Billion For Tallo River Coastal Road

MAKASSAR - The Makassar City Government has allocated Rp10 billion to open a coastal road in the Tallo River area.

"This fund is a grant from the South Sulawesi Provincial Government to support the opening of the previously planned Tallo River coastal road," said Makassar Mayor M Ramdhan Pomanto as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 4.

Walkot, who is familiarly called Danny Pomanto, said that the funds will also be used for stunting reduction programs in Makassar City, in addition to building infrastructure.

Regarding the grant from the South Sulawesi Provincial Government, he continued, this was the first time the Makassar City Government had obtained it.

Danny Pomanto said that his party is ready to maximize the assistance, so that it is according to its designation and can be right on target.

To open and expand access to the Tallo River coastal road, Danny Pomanto also hopes to get a budget allocation from the central government in the form of a Special Allocation Fund (DAK).

Meanwhile, Head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) Makassar Dakhlan confirmed that the Rp10 billion aid fund would be used for the opening of the Tallo River coastal road and stunting prevention.

According to him, the disbursement of the budget can be carried out in two stages, the first by 50 percent and the next by 50 percent, but the progress of the program is already 70 percent of the work in the first phase.
