Gibran Rakabuming Calls Addition Of BST Corridor In Karanganyar Waiting For Regent Juliyatmono's Green Light

SOLO - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka will add the Batik Solo Trans (BST) corridor in Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, after there is a green light or approval from the local regional head.

"If Mr. Juli (Regent of Karanganyar Juliyatmono) allows us, we will immediately follow up," said Gibran in Solo, Antara, Monday, July 4.

Regarding the addition of the BST corridor, he has instructed the Department of Transportation to focus on adding corridors outside the city.

"If there are additions, don't go inside the city, add corridors outside the city, so that Solo Raya will be connected to everything," he said.

However, he said, it all depends on the approval of each regent.

Previously, Gibran had answered one of the questions from netizens regarding the plan to add the BST route to Karanganyar. On that occasion, Gibran said that the Regent of Karanganyar rejected the plan.

Regarding this, Juliyatmono said that the BST plan to enter Karanganyar is still being studied. However, he supports the plan because it supports Karanganyar tourism.

When asked about his disapproval of entering BST, as stated by Gibran, responding to a netizen's tweet, Juliyatmono said that it had never been confirmed by anyone, including Gibran.

"I have never been confirmed by anyone including Mas Gibran and it's not like that. I support 1,000 percent. Looking for transportation access, I want to develop here, I'm happy. It's a community service," he said.
