Viral Video Narrated 63 Motorcycle Visitors To The Medan Anniversary Concert Disappear At Merdeka Square, Medan Police Confirms Hoax

MEDAN - A video with a narration of 63 motorbikes visiting the Medan City Anniversary concert at the parking location in the Merdeka Square area, Medan, North Sumatra, was confirmed by the hoax police.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Medan Polrestabes Kompol Teuku Fathir Mustafa confirmed that the video circulating was not true. Until now, his party is still waiting for the victim to make a police report.

"The video is not true, there are no reports of missing motorbikes at the location and time of the activity," said Commissioner Fathir, quoted from a written statement, Monday, July 4.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Department appealed if residents lost their motorbikes to immediately report them to the Medan Polrestabes.

"And if there are residents who feel they have lost their motorbikes while attending the activity, they can immediately report it to the Medan Polrestabes. Of course, if it is true for the perpetrators, we will take firm and measured action," he said.

Kompol Fathir emphasized that his party was intensively eradicating the theft of motorized vehicles in the jurisdiction of the Medan Polrestabes. He appealed to the public not to believe in rumors or fake news.

"For the social media accounts that uploaded it, we will also investigate later "don't make issues with sources that are not clear," he said.
