2022 AFF U-19 Cup Group A Standings, Indonesia Is In Fourth Position After A Draw Against Vietnam
JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Team (Timnas) has already undergone the first match of Group A of the U-19 AFF Cup against Vietnam.
Indonesia brought home only one point from that match.
Indonesia had its first match against Vietnam at the Candrabhaga Stadium on Saturday, July 2.
Shin Tae-yong's squad ended the match with a score of 0-0.
Bringing home just one point makes Indonesia have to settle for fourth place in the standings.
Meanwhile, Vietnam with the same collection of points is in fourth place.
Myanmar is currently at the top of the standings after a 7-0 victory over Brunei Darussalam.
Following in second place is Thailand, who won 1-0 over the Philippines.
Indonesia's chance to get three points is open in the second party against Brunei later.
The match will take place on Monday, July 4 tomorrow at the same stadium.
"Indeed, Brunei lost 0-7 to Myanmar, while we drew. We have to think about everything. We will prepare the best squad to fight Brunei," said Shin Tae-yong after the match.
Indonesia itself is one of the leading teams in the group who are favorites to qualify from the group stage.
