Couples Working Together To Become Thieves, Have A Lineage Of Criminals

JAKARTA - A husband and wife cooperate in the crime of motorcycle theft. Both were arrested by the police to be responsible for their actions.

They are Rendi Wijaya and Marisa. Rendi served as the executor, while Marisa was on standby while observing the situation. This couple has been a motorbike thief duet for the past year.

"They already have their respective roles. The admission is that they have been in action for one year," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus, in Jakarta, Friday, January 17.

From the police crime record, this couple has acted hundreds of times. They usually act in the Greater Jakarta area. "But, we are still exploring everything related to them. Because they have not been arrested for a long time, we are still developing them," said Yusri.

Separately, the official unit 1 officer for Iptu Steven Chang added that the two of them had a relationship with a recidivist who had committed the theft. Rendi's father, apparently, is a former motorcycle thief.

"The father of this male suspect is a recidivist. Now we are still investigating whether there is a connection or not," said Steven.
