Update On COVID-19 As Of November 2: 2,618 New Cases, Healing, Increasing 3,624
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 26,661 specimens were examined with 2,618 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 415,402 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Monday, November 2.
Today's cases increased by 3,624, so that a total of 345,566 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 101 people and a total of 14,044 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 1,024 new cases and a total of 107,229 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by West Java which has 341 new cases with a total of 36,924 cases. East Java has 284 new cases and a total of 53,002 cases. Central Java has 248 new cases and a total of 34,618 cases. Then, West Sumatra has 178 new cases and a total of 14,940 cases.
Meanwhile, the province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,057 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 389 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 362 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 300 cases recovered.
Then, there are 7 provinces that reported no new cases today. The provinces are Jambi, West Kalimantan, Maluku, West Papua, Papua, West Sulawesi, Gorontalo.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 4,567,608. In detail, a total of 4,484,054 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 83,554 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14.2 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 59,500. Currently, 502 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
