Tjahjo Kumolo's New Habit Before Sleeping, Regularly Listening To The Strains Of The Holy Verses
JAKARTA - The wife of the late Tjahjo Kumolo, Erni Guntarti, told of a new habit that her husband often did before he fell ill and eventually died.
This was said by Erni after burying her husband at the Kalibata Main National Heroes Cemetery (TMPNU), Jakarta, today, Friday, July 1.
"We don't know, for the past few months, when you sleep, you always listen to the strains of holy verses. Usually that's not the case," Erni told reporters at TMPNU Kalibata, Jakarta, Friday, July 1.
Erni assessed that Tjahjo had only recently practiced this habit.
"It's been a month. I just wanted to sleep until I fell asleep until morning," he said.
"Father's new habit, I mean. When I wake up, tahajjud, and listen to the strains of holy verses until morning. That's the last thing I remember," continued Erni.
Erni then shared her story with Tjahjo, whom she had known since junior high school (SMP). She said, her husband is a person who lives as is and always provides support.
"My father and I have known for a long time because we have been friends since school, since junior high, high school, college and together. We have been very close, we have known each other for a long time. Anyway, life was as it was," said Erni.
"Father always supports whatever I do," he added.
It was previously reported that Tjahjo Kumolo died at Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Central Jakarta at around 11.10 WIB.
Before being buried at TMPNU Kalibata, Tjahjo's body was buried at the minister's official house, the Widya Chandra complex. Then his body was prayed at the Quba mosque in the Kemenpan-RB office.
