JK: Tjahjo Kumolo Served Himself To The Country Very Well
JAKARTA - The 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) considered MenPAN RB Tjahjo Kumolo as a good person who until the end of his life dedicated himself to the Indonesian nation.
"Mr. Tjahjo Kumolo has always served his country very well. Innalillahi wainnailaihi raji'un, with a heart of sorrow, I express my condolences for the passing of Rahmatullah Mr. Tjahjo Kumolo," said JK in Jakarta, Friday July 1.
JK, who is also the General Chair of the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI), invites the entire community to pray for Tjahjo Kumolo so that his deeds and worship while living in this world can be accepted by Allah SWT.
"Let us all pray for the deceased, may his deeds of worship be accepted by Allah SWT," he added.
Previously, JK also invited the entire community to pray for Tjahjo Kumolo, who was recently hospitalized, so that he would recover soon.
JK considers Tjahjo Kumolo to be a good person personally and diligent in carrying out government duties. When JK served as Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2014-2019 period, Tjahjo Kumolo served as Minister of Home Affairs.
"He is a very good person in person and in government. We all pray that he can recover soon. God willing, we all hope that it will be like that," he said.
Tjahjo Kumolo is undergoing intensive treatment at a hospital due to an infection in the lungs. Tjahjo Kumolo died at the Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Jakarta, Friday afternoon, at 11.10 WIB, after undergoing intensive care since mid-June 2022.
Prior to his political career in the capital city of Jakarta, as a youth Tjahjo Kumolo was active in the Central Java KNPI and was a Golkar politician before finally joining the PDIP.
In the PDIP DPP, he served as secretary general, then minister and finally MenPAN RB.
