Reply 1988 is part of the Reply Series, which consists of Reply 1997 and Reply 1994. So far, director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung haven't mentioned a continuation of the series.
Currently they are busy with the Playbook Series which consists of Prison Playbook and Hospital Playlist. The Hospital Playlist will enter its second season which will be produced at the end of 2020.
