DPR Values Using MyPertamina To Buy Subsidized Fuel Needs Massive Socialization

JAKARTA - Member of Commission VII DPR, Diah Nurwitasari assesses that the use of the MyPertamina application as a condition for buying Pertalite and Solar requires massive socialization.

This is to prevent leakage of subsidized fuel flowing to industries or wealthy groups. That way the fuel subsidy program can be right on target.

"We still need socialization and improvements on how to make efforts so that subsidized fuel is enjoyed by people who need it and there is no leakage to the industry or groups of luxury vehicle owners who consume subsidized fuel," Diah said in an official statement, Thursday, June 30.

Diah suggested that Pertamina must anticipate a number of obstacles that will be encountered in the field.

He gave an example, the use of mobile phones that change hands.

Diah said, it could be someone's cellphone, but the application is on another cellphone, then used by unauthorized people.

"Because the target is people who can't afford it, the next question if they can't afford it is whether they have a device that can install the application (MyPertamina), here are some technical problems that need to be addressed immediately," he said.

He considered that the purpose of the MyPertamina program was good. It's just how the socialization is done seriously and carefully.

With this program, it is possible to record any groups of people who are entitled to subsidized fuel.

Previously, PT Pertamina would conduct a trial to purchase Pertalite and Solar subsidized fuel using the MyPertamina application starting July 1, 2022.

Initial trials will be conducted in West Sumatra, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, West Java, and DI Yogyakarta.

President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Alfian Nasution, said that people do not need to carry cellphones when buying Pertalite and Solar at Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU).

Alfian said, users only need to register their vehicle and identity through https://subsiditepat.mypertamina.id/.

"You don't have to use an application, you don't have to use a cellphone, you only need to show the QR Code. This is the initial stage," Alfian told reporters, Wednesday, June 29.

Not only that, people who do not have a smartphone or MyPertamina application can register through outlets that have been provided by Pertamina at gas stations.

However, people who register without the application must have an active email address. Because, a special QR Code will be sent to the email address. “The data that has been registered will be verified or matched with the suitability of the requirements. If everything is fulfilled a maximum of seven working days, then the user will be declared registered and receive a QR Code via email, or through a notification on the website, "concluded Alfian.
