Kadin Ready To Help Aceh Government Bring In Investors To Strengthen Tanah Rencong's Economy
JAKARTA - The elected chairman of the Aceh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) M Iqbal Piyeung confirmed that his party is ready to help the Aceh government bring in investors as an effort to strengthen the economy in the land of rencong.
"Obviously we will help the Aceh government to bring investment to this area," said M Iqbal Piyeung, in Banda Aceh, quoted from Antara, Friday, July 1.
Iqbal said that it is impossible to build or create job opportunities from the government's budget alone, be it the APBN or APBA or APBK in districts/cities because the portion is very small.
Therefore, it is necessary to bring in investment from the private sector, both at home and abroad, for this reason, cooperation is needed so that these goals can be realized together.
Iqbal said, everyone is aware that every year universities in Aceh graduate thousands of students, not to mention there are vocational school graduates. However, after that they had no chance to work.
"Many have graduated from colleges and vocational schools, but there are no job opportunities for them, because our industry is not alive and there is no investment," he said.
So, said Iqbal, the Aceh Chamber of Commerce and Industry continues to think about how to bring investment to Aceh so that job opportunities are wide open, so that there are no longer unemployed Acehnese generations and avoid poverty.
"We have to bring in investors, or ourselves as Acehnese entrepreneurs who will become investors. Moreover, we have extraordinary natural resources, as well as human resources," he said.
In addition, Iqbal also emphasized that the Aceh Kadin under his leadership will help facilitate access to various business actors in Aceh, be it the construction, services, agriculture, plantation and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) sectors.
"We will help businesses from all sectors, as well as provide access or opportunities to obtain business capital in banking," said M Iqbal.
