One COVID-19 Case Appears In Bangka After A Month Of Nothing
BANGKA - The COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas) of Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands stated that there was one finding of a COVID-19 case after approximately one month the area was designated a safe zone.
Spokesperson for the Bangka Regency COVID-19 Task Force, Boy Yandra, said the findings of a new COVID-19 case with the initials of Tkt (67) a woman from Sungailiat District.
"Tkt, who is currently undergoing intensive treatment at the Depati Bahrin general hospital, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 based on the results of the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test," he said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, June 30.
With the addition of one person who was confirmed positive for COVID-19, said Boy Yandra, the total COVID-19 cases in Bangka Regency for more than two years reached 12,056 cases, 11,656 COVID-19 patients recovered and 399 positive corona virus patients died.
"I remind the public that they must remain disciplined in implementing the health procedures because the COVID-19 case has occurred again after a long time since Bangka Regency has been designated as a green zone for the spread of the corona virus," he said.
Boy Yandra said the implementation of health procedures such as routinely washing hands with soap, wearing masks when leaving the house and maintaining distance were effective steps to prevent the transmission of the corona virus.
He appealed that in addition to being required to implement health procedures, citizens of mandatory vaccine age who have not received the first, second or booster doses of vaccines should immediately register at the nearest vaccine service outlet.
"Every day, dozens of vaccine outlets are opened in a number of places, including vaccine outlets in rural areas," said Boy Yandra.
