If Mike Tyson And Chuck Liddell's Crossover Battle Happened In The Octagon
JAKARTA - Mike Tyson is indeed a boxing legend. But for UFC fighter Chuck Liddell, 'Concrete Necker' will not move if he fights in the octagon.
Although he decided to hang up his boxing gloves since 2005, Tyson is still a respected figure in the world of scuffling sports. That's why, ever since Conor McGregor moved from UFC to boxing in 2017, fans have been speculating about the next crossover fight.
Liddell reckons he will stand no chance against Tyson under the Queensberry rule (general boxing rule). However, the veteran fighter insisted Tyson would be beaten in a UFC fight.
"My grandfather when I was a kid, 19 years old, (said):" Hey, you know Mike Tyson, I know you can beat him. "
"To me, this is funny. (But) right now it would be nice to hear that as a serious question."
Then who will win the battle between Liddell and Tyson if it really happens?
"I make it very simple. Boxing is Mike and MMA is me."
Liddell has not fought since losing to arch enemy, Toti Ortiz in 2018. Like Tyson, the 49-year-old is now involved in Hollywood.
"I still love to fight. If my body can't do (fight again) why I want to do that, I better not do it," said Liddell.
Now, it remains only to wait for the promoter who dares to bring Liddell to Tyson.
