PLN Implements Zero Down Time Scheme For Second G20 Sherpa Meeting
JAKARTA - After successfully overseeing the Energy Transition Working Group (ETWG) #2, PT PLN (Persero) has prepared electricity supply with a layered scheme to support the implementation of the 2nd Sherpa Meeting which will be held in Labuan Bajo on 10-12 July 2022.
Regional Business Director for Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua and Nusa Tenggara, Adi Priyanto conveyed, PLN's commitment to supply reliable electricity to support the entire series of activities of the 2022 G20 Indonesia Summit, including the 2nd Sherpa Meeting.
"Yesterday's ETWG #2 has been running optimally. Not only that, we also carry out several international events that have been running, the same scheme, namely Zero Down Time (ZDT) so that all events run well," added Adi in an official statement, Thursday, June 30.
Currently, the total capable power of the Flores Electricity System is 98 megawatts (MW).
With an estimated peak load during the G20 series of events of 78 MW, and a power reserve of 20 MW.
To make the event a success, PLN prepared electricity supplies from 5 feeders and prepared a backup power supply sourced from 5 units of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with a total power of 540 kiloVolt Ampere (kVA), Mobile Generators as many as 8 units with a total power of 1,220 kVA. , 9 units of automatic transfer switch (ATS) , and 6 units of mobile substations (UGB) 1,500 kVA
"We have mobilized 75 PLN personnel every day to be on standby at the locations where the event is taking place," said Adi.
Adi admitted, PLN continues to coordinate and strive to fulfill reliable and quality electricity, with the hope that the 2nd Sherpa Meeting will run well.
Not only readiness, there will be a showcase for the use of EBT in remote areas with the operation of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) on Papagarang Island and Messah Island.
