Suspect Of Persecuting TNI Soldiers By Harley-Davidson Riders So 4 People

JAKARTA - The Bukittinggi Police, West Sumatra, named 4 motorbike riders (moge) Harley Owners Group (HOG) Siliwangi Bandung Chapter Indonesia as suspects in the persecution of two TNI soldiers on Friday, October 30.

As reported by Antara, Sunday, November 1, the Head of Public Relations of the West Sumatra Regional Police, Kombes Pol Satake Bayu, when contacted from Padang, said that initially the police had named 2 perpetrators, BS (18) and MS (49) as suspects. After the development, there were 2 additional new suspects namely HS (48) and JA (26).

"The four of them are currently being held at the Bukittinggi Police Headquarters detention center," he said.

He said the suspect HS was found beating the victim 3 times based on witness testimony and CCTV footage of the shop at the scene.

Then the suspect JA beat the victim and proved it by CCtV.

Previously, the Bukittinggi Police had named 2 people from the HOG Siliwangi Bandung Chapter Indonesia group as suspects in the beating and mistreatment of 2 members of the TNI Kodim 0304 / Agam. .

"After we received the victim's report, a legal process was immediately carried out, then two people were named as suspects," said the Head of the Bukittinggi City Police, AKBP Dodi Prawiranegara.

The two drivers named as suspects were MS and B, who were charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 351 of the Criminal Code on persecution.

He said that for his actions the suspects were threatened with five years in prison.

The police also immediately carried out bodily detention of the two suspects in the Bukittinggi Police Headquarters detention cell since 04.00 WIB.

He revealed that in processing the case his party had examined witnesses, club members, video recordings when the alleged assault took place, as well as other evidence.

"From the examination, it eventually led to the two suspects," he said.

Dody explained that currently the case process is still being carried out and it is possible that there will be additional suspects.

Meanwhile, for the big motorbike, which is usually abbreviated as moge, as many as 13 units are currently being secured at the police station.

The police emphasized that anyone who uses the road, be it clubs, communities, or other groups, must respect other road users and obey the rules.

"Respect other road users and obey the regulations, if indeed the red lights stop," he said.

Previously, the incident was known to have occurred on Jalan Simpang Tarok, Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra, on Friday at around 16:40 WIB, and was viral on social media.

A group of people who were part of the moge group tortured the victim, which was later confirmed that the victim was a member of the TNI serving at Kodim 0304 / Agam.
