Police Disband Hallowen Party In East Banjarmasin

JAKARTA - The East Banjarmasin Police dismissed visitors at a cafe in the area of Jalan Ahmad Yani Km 5,5 Banjarmasin for allegedly holding a Hallowen Party event.

"We disbanded the event at the Bombarbeer cafe because there were so many visitors and without heeding the safe distance as regulated in the health protocol," said Head of East Banjarmasin Police AKP Susilo in Banjarmasin, as reported by Antara, Sunday, November 1.

He said the cafe visitors were disbanded on Sunday, November 1 in the morning, at around 01.00 WITA.

"Currently we are still in a pandemic situation COVID-19 so everything must follow the health protocol rules," he said.

Susilo said that initially the officers were patrolling and visiting the cafe. After checking, it turned out that the Bombarbeer cafe visitors were mostly young and large.

Knowing that there was a Hellowen Party event at the cafe without heeding the rules of health protocol, the officers immediately dismissed the event.

The event was disbanded because it was feared that it could hinder the target of the Banjarmasin City Government, especially East Banjarmasin, to be completely free from the spread of COVID-19.

Even though Banjarmasin is currently in the green zone, this does not mean that night entertainment managers or the public can ignore health protocols.

"Even though Banjarmasin is almost completely a green zone, we must not relax our discipline to comply with the prescribed health protocols," he said.

Susilo reminded the public not to underestimate health protocols and let their guard down, thus making Banjarmasin, which is now a green zone, turned red again.

Susilo said that his party would call the Bombarbeer cafe manager for questioning regarding the alleged violation of the health protocol.

"The rules are clear as to what is contained in Perwali Number 68 of 2020 Article 7 paragraph 2 letter b, one of which mentions the revocation of business licenses if they violate health protocols," said the police chief.
