Suspicious Sandals In Class II A Women's Prison, Tangerang, Not Bombs

TANGERANG - Police confirmed that a suspicious object found in the Class II A Women's Correctional Institution (Lapas) Tangerang, Tangerang City, was not a bomb. This was conveyed directly by the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Endra Zulpan.

"It is certain that it is not a bomb," said Endra when confirmed via text message, Wednesday, June 29.

Endra said that the suspicious object was a sandal with a cable in it.

"It's a sandal with a cable inside," he said.

Meanwhile, when contacted separately, the Tangerang Metro Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho, admitted that he could not explain the discovery of the suspicious object.

"Just go there (Polda Metro Jaya) for one door," he concluded

Previously reported, Head of Public Relations and Protocol of the Directorate General of Corrections at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Rika Aprianti, said that the police were currently investigating the discovery of the suspicious object.

"It's true (the discovery of suspicious objects) today. Currently, the Tangerang City Police are investigating," he said by telephone, Wednesday, June 29, evening.

According to Rika, the head of the Class II A prison immediately coordinated with the police after finding the suspicious object.

"The Head of Class II A Tangerang Kalapas has directly coordinated with the Tangerang City Metro Police and an investigation is being carried out by the police," he said.
