Indonesia-Ukraine Agree Visa-Free Travel, President Zelensky: This Is Important For Our People
JAKARTA - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his country has entered into a visa-free travel agreement with Indonesia, when receiving a visit from Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Wednesday.
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Maryinsky Palace, Kyiv, Wednesday, after previously visiting the War-torn Apartment Complex in Irpin City, as well as providing humanitarian assistance to health facilities in Kyiv.
Ukraine and Indonesia have agreed to introduce visa-free travel between the two countries, said President Zelensky.
"I am pleased to inform you of our agreement to introduce visa-free travel between our countries. This is good news. From every point of view, it is important for our people, for social development and for human relations," President Zelensku said in a press statement. with President Jokowi, citing Interfax from Ukrainian media, Wednesday 29 June.
As previously reported, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was greeted directly by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the entrance, upon arrival at the Maryinsky Palace, Kyiv at around 15.00 local time.
After the welcome, the two leaders of the country entered the Palace to have a group photo session and continued the tete-a-tete meeting.
On this occasion, President Jokowi was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
It is known that President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana and their entourage arrived in Ukraine on Wednesday morning at around 08.50 local time, after traveling for approximately 11 hours, by taking the Extraordinary Train (KLB) from Poland.
After the meeting with President Zelensky, President Jokowi and his entourage are scheduled to return to Poland directly using the KLB in the afternoon.
